Overview
Pharmacy Technician – Part-Time PRN role at Axis Health System. Role will support the following sites:
Cortez Integrated Healthcare, Durango Integrated Healthcare, Dove Creek Integrated Healthcare, and Pagosa Springs Integrated Healthcare. Candidate can live near Cortez, Durango, Dove Creek, or Pagosa Springs, CO if willing to travel.
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for medication orders, inventory management, and dispensing medication in conjunction with the policies, procedures, and clinical supervision of the Consulting Pharmacist. The Technician must demonstrate the ability to work interdepartmentally with clinicians, third-party pharmacies, and patients. This role will require travel up to 33% of the time.
QualificationsOur ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent. A preferred candidate will have at least one (1) year of Pharmacy Experience or Experience in a Clinic or Hospital and a CPhT, ExCPT, or Certification to provide immunizations.
This position requires:
- Proof of current TB test
- Active BLS certification within 90 days of employment
- Immunization requirements:
Annual Flu immunization and Annual TB screening

ResponsibilitiesThe Pharmacy Technician is accountable for:
- Processing medication orders and dispensing under supervision
- Inventory management and coordination with clinicians and pharmacies
- Maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
- Interdepartmental collaboration to support patient care
Salary: $21.00 - $29.98 hourly, depending on experience.
