Job Summary
University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS) is seeking an Operations Coordinator. This is a full‑time (1.00 FTE), 12‑month, professional faculty position. UHDS provides safe, economical, convenient, and comfortable living and dining options for over 5,000 students across 16 residence halls, two apartment complexes, three dining centers, three coffee shops, a market, and retail dining options. UHDS is an auxiliary enterprise funded solely by customers who use our services;
it receives no State or General fund allocation.

This position provides leadership and supervision to the UHDS Residential Conferences Turn Assistants (RCTA) and ensures quality control through inspection, health and safety, and sanitary conditions for all Residential Conferences guests. It hires, trains, supervises, and assigns work to 20‑25 RCTA student staff and coordinates the Custodial Training and Safety Program for professional and student staff.
As a member of the Residential Conferences team and the Operations and Facilities unit, the role coordinates and completes administrative tasks for Residential Conferences, Apartment Living, and the Custodial operation, and administers vital Facilities and Operations processes. The position also works extensively with Star Rez Conference Management software in day‑to‑day tasks. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and communication and relationship building skills are essential.
Seasonal schedule adjustments during summer months are required to support business needs. The Associate Director for Operations supervises this position.

What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position.
- 1 year of experience providing support to a program or service.
- Demonstrated experience leading and working with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience scheduling staff and coordinating work across multiple shifts and locations.
- Demonstrated experience developing positive relationships with peers, campus partners, and staff.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive work environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines in an environment with frequent interruptions; adapt to changing priorities and service levels based on staffing capacity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with department staff and partners daily.
- Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office suite software tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Services Administration, or related specialization.
- Front‑line supervisory experience focusing on results and process development.
- Experience supervising personnel, including hiring, evaluations, discipline, and professional development.
- Residential Conferences functional area experience.
- Experience using Star Rez Housing Management software.
- Experience working in an educational setting (colleges, universities, or K‑12 campuses).
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- During the academic year, typical 8‑5 schedule with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Evening and weekend work expected during summer and major transition periods.
- On‑call rotation for Residential Conferences throughout the summer.

Recommended Full‑Time Salary Range $50,000–$67,000
