Campus Associate Dean – Monmouth

Campus Associate Dean is onsite administrator for nursing operations and implements strategic priorities. Works as liaison between regional University and OHSU School of Nursing. Reports to OHSU SON Dean.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure program delivery meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Liaise with regional university campus, develop inter‑agency relationships, serve on committees.
- Assist regional recruitment of students and lead local hiring of faculty and staff.
- Supervise faculty, professional and support staff on regional campus using matrix model.
- Coordinate with SON leaders to align with strategic, operational and financial goals.
- Visit clinical sites and maintain relationships with community partners.
- Advise on alumni, philanthropic, legislative endeavors.
- Serve as media spokesperson for SON at regional level.
- Ensure regional characteristics considered in curricular, research, practice missions.
- Demonstrate inclusive excellence and trauma‑informed practices.
- Provide leadership in faculty and staff supervision.
- Resolve workplace conflicts using trauma‑informed lens.
- Recruit, select, evaluate and retain faculty and staff.
- Monitor productivity to support student outcomes.
- Mentor early‑and mid‑career faculty.
- Serve on SON Leadership Council and other relevant councils.
- Lead performance improvement and project management initiatives.
- Model teaching, service and inquiry; collaborate on joint publications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field strongly preferred; master’s degree required with documentation of curriculum and teaching experience.
- Five years progressive experience in higher education and program oversight; eligible for rank at assistant and associate/Professor level.
- Experience and passion for leadership and change management.
- Demonstrated experience enabling faculty and staff to build vibrant community partnerships.
- Licensed/eligible for licensure to practice professional nursing in State of Oregon.
