FLSA Status: Seasonal (Non Permanent)
Start Date: 2025/2026 Season – Season start date:
March 9th, 2026
Calendar: N/A
Stipend: $2,881 – $3,313, based on years of experience

Notes
  • Coach needed in the area of sprints.
  • Open until filled with earliest review on December 3rd, 2025.
  • Specific knowledge and/or experience with sprint mechanics and workouts preferred.
  • Experience with middle or high school students preferred.
  • Term of position is March 9 - May 15.
Qualifications
  • Track coaching experience at the middle school level.
  • Experience in all aspects of coaching.
  • The skills to develop a positive rapport with students/athletes, parents and other coaches.
  • High ethical and professional standards.
  • The ability to motivate student/athletes and coaches.
  • Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, and Steroid training and Current First Aid Certified—can be completed upon hiring.
  • Oregon Teaching License (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of the middle school program.
  • Work with and help give direction to all programs that feed into the middle school.
  • Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
  • Promote the sport.
  • Keep detailed statistics.
  • Follow all school and OSAA guidelines.
  • Provide off-season opportunities enabling athletes to improve skills.
  • Be a student of the sport.
