Educational Assistant - Life Skills - Linus Pauling Middle School
Location: Corvallis School District 509J
Position Summary: Assist licensed staff in the implementation of an individualized education program (IEP), provide individualized and small‑group instruction to students with moderate to severe learning and/or physical disabilities, and assist with student data collection.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Calendar: 181 work days
Rate: $23.32 with benefits
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee’s salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part‑time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s degree or higher (two years of post‑secondary study, 72 quarters or 48 semesters of credit), or a passing score on a district‑approved assessment.
- Ability to independently organize and carry out work assignments, follow student schedules or individualized education plans, and direct the work of students and others associated with the program. Following adequate training, ability to provide motor instruction in a swimming pool.
- Prior experience working with special needs children desirable.
