Position SummaryThis recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part‑time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Teaching Assistant for the School of Finance, Accounting, and Business Information Systems at Oregon State University (OSU).
A typical TA position that involves helping the instructor with some in‑class exercises and preliminary grading of some assignments.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.

Position Duties- The TA will help in preliminary grading of some student assignments.
- The TA will help students in completing some hands‑on computer‑based exercises.
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student:
Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program. - Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*.
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*.
- High School student:
* International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full‑time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
AdditionalRequired Qualifications
- Must have completed BA370 or ACTG 378 with a minimum grade of a B+.
- Must have done well on computer‑based hands‑on exercises and the group project in the BA370 or ACTG 378 class.
- Must have a good knowledge of the Relational Database Concepts and their applications.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Help with exercises in‑class and through Zoom.
- Grading can be done remotely.
