The Department of Chemistry at Oregon State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Physical Chemistry.
We are conducting a broad search and welcome candidates pursuing experimental, computational, or integrated experimental–computational research. Areas of interest include spectroscopy, photochemistry, and excited-state dynamics; molecular and materials theory; quantum chemistry; quantum materials and quantum computing; semiconductor and energy materials; interfaces; chemical dynamics;and AI/ML-enabled chemical and materials discovery.
This is an exciting time to join OSU. The successful candidate will have opportunities to connect with major new investments, including the NSF-funded FAST Regional Innovation Engine, advanced experimental and materials-characterization facilities, and OSU's rapidly expanding capabilities in high-performance computing, AI, and data-intensive research through the Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex (HCIC).
We seek a colleague who will establish an internationally recognized research program, contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, mentor the next generation of scientists, and engage with OSU's highly collaborative research community.
