Position: Quality Assurance Engineer 4

QA Project Engineer – Remote

System One is actively seeking a QA Project Engineer with strong commercial nuclear experience and expertise in ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21
. This position supports project quality activities for a major client in the nuclear industry. The role is fully remote with occasional travel for project needs.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary QA interface for cross-functional project teams and external partners.
  • Support and advise on quality and process-related issues across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate and prepare responses to customer RFIs and proposal/marketing activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and apply project quality requirements traceability matrices.
  • Manage first-of-a-kind project issues and ensure QA activities are accurately integrated into project plans.
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve quality-related challenges and project risks.
  • Provide direction to QA leads, supervisors, and supporting quality personnel.
  • Develop and maintain QA procedures, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Support risk assessments, mitigation planning, and project reviews.
  • Perform additional project and QA duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience in the commercial nuclear industry
    .
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • ASME NQA-1
  • 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
  • 10 CFR 21
  • Experience serving as QA lead on large, complex projects.
  • Experience developing requirement traceability matrices.
  • Strong communication, technical writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1.
  • ISO 9001 or international QA standard experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810
    .

Compensation
  • Target Pay Range: $127,104 – $153,401 annually
  • Full Pay Range: $113,955 – $178,237 annually
    Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
