The Associate Patient Care Coordinator provides patient care in accordance with established methods and techniques and conforms to recognized standards.
Location (Full‑Time Onsite): 2350 NW Century Dr., Suite 100 Corvallis, OR 97330
May be required to travel to one or multiple locations for coverage as needed.
Schedule: This is a 40‑hour week, 8‑hour shift, schedule Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am to 7:00 pm PST. The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.
Primary Responsibilities- Will participate in and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook. Employees are expected to read, be familiar with, and embrace the principles contained within.
- Greets patients for providers, answers the telephone, routes calls/tasks, books appointments, verifies patient insurance coverage, acts as cashier for payments, and prepares for appointments.
- Greet and check patients in, verify current demographics and insurance coverage, and notify back‑office staff of patient arrival in a timely manner.
- Maintains working knowledge of the referral process.
- Uses correct search criteria to prevent duplicate documentation and enters information into the EHR.
- Contacts the assistant or provider promptly when an acutely ill patient either telephones or approaches the reception desk without an appointment.
- Directs patient flow and prepares patients for exams.
- Proactively monitors and manages provider schedules for accuracy.
- Actively participates in cleaning shared work areas.
- Participates in orientation and training of new employees.
- Mays work at multiple sites as determined by department necessity.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi‑task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare‑related experience.
- 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co‑pays, and maintaining medical records.
- Experience working with an electronic health record.
- Experience working with scheduling programs.
- Knowledge of medical terms.
- Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff, and patients.
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines.
