Emergency Veterinarian – Willamette Veterinary Hospital

Willamette Veterinary Hospital, an AAHA‑accredited full‑service small animal practice and 24/7 emergency hospital, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team. The position is based at 1562 SW 3rd St, Corvallis, OR 97333.

About the Role

As an Emergency Veterinarian you will manage hospitalized cases, outpatient emergencies, and perform a wide variety of advanced soft‑tissue surgeries. You will work with a 3:1 support staff‑to‑doctor ratio, rotating day, swing, and overnight shifts (10‑14 shifts per month). The role welcomes candidates with experience in both general practice and emergency medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat emergency and urgent patients.
  • Perform soft‑tissue surgeries and other advanced procedures.
  • Collaborate with ER and ICU technicians to provide continuity of care.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and weekend coverage as needed.
  • Document patient care in Cornerstone EMR.
  • Contribute to the clinic’s culture of continual learning and mentorship.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of veterinary experience.
  • Oregon Veterinary License (active and in good standing).
  • Strong surgical and emergency skills.
  • Interest and experience in both general practice and emergency medicine.
  • Willingness to learn and perform soft‑tissue surgery.
