Direct Support Professional

RHDD is looking for a Direct Support Professional!

Job :

Shifts:

Must be able to work all shifts which include nights, weekends, drop‑ins, and 2½‑day shifts. Part‑time position, 20–30 hours a week.

• Providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and in the community.
• Teaching the individuals we serve how to complete various tasks.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as housekeeping, meal and menu preparation, grocery shopping, and day‑to‑day finances.
• Helping with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and positioning when necessary.
• Providing transportation for the individual to appointed activities, including doctor appointments, community outings, shopping, and vacations.
• Documenting and administering medication and health‑related tasks.
• Reporting to your supervisor any suspected need for medical attention, evidence of abuse, neglect, and other health and safety issues.
• Building a trusting relationship, becoming a supportive friend and extended family member.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License (with less than six (6) points)
• Reliable transportation with current proof of state minimum auto insurance; most positions require use of a personal automobile during work hours
