Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing Production
Hours of work will be scheduled to cover normal line running hours. The employee must perform general maintenance duties in accordance with plant policies and standards. The qualifications required include:
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- Reliability
- Ability to work safely
- Availability for full-time work and overtime
- Basic mechanical experience
- On-the-job training available
- Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical maintenance
The Line Coordinator should possess knowledge in equipment capabilities, safety, product specifications, team building, team leading, and certification in all line jobs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting adjustments for assigned equipment
- Coordinating raw material usage based on production needs
- Performing equipment maintenance as per manufacturer’s manuals and certification programs
- Making adjustments to equipment, products, or supplies to optimize efficiency
- Planning and coordinating maintenance activities with production
- Prioritizing preventative maintenance schedules
- Using SAP efficiently, including writing and closing work orders
- Following explicit instructions and seeking help when needed
- Conducting pre-operation safety inspections
- Ensuring proper operation of equipment in compliance with GMPs for cleanliness and safety
- Maintaining a positive attitude and fostering cooperative relationships with support departments
- Maintaining an excellent safety record and exhibiting safe behaviors
- Assisting supervision and other line employees with training and scheduling
- Performing process calculations related to yield, utilization, or nonconformity rates
- Communicating tasks effectively to maximize efficiency
- Filling in for other line members when needed and troubleshooting issues
- Following operational quality and safety procedures, including chemical safety as per SDS
- Setting up and tearing down all lines
- Performing additional duties as directed by supervision
The Line Coordinator will not discipline other union employees during normal duties and must stay until tasks are completed if a line is forced over, even if their line is relieved early. They are also required to work during shutdowns. Full-time and overtime work is necessary.
