Veterinarian – A1 Veterinary Care at Heartland Veterinary Partners

What Your Workday May Look Like
  • Monday–Thursday (plans to expand to Monday–Friday; potential rotating Saturdays).

Core Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around end‑of‑life care.
  • Maintain patient medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD credentials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous presentation.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds independently; assist for >25 pounds.
