Job Title: Tax Preparer with Accounting Experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer with a strong background in accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, assisting clients with tax planning, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, business, and/or corporate tax returns accurately and on time
• Review financial statements and accounting records for tax reporting
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide general tax guidance to clients
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
• Maintain organized and confidential client records
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding tax documents and requirements
• Assist with bookkeeping or accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a tax preparer or in a similar role
• Strong accounting background (degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines during peak tax season

Preferred Qualifications:

• EA or CTEC registration
• Experience with business and corporate tax returns

Compensation:

• $50,000-$80,000 depending on experience
• 401K, PTO, Holidays off, and sick days

• Mid-Senior level
