This role enables associates to work virtually full‑time, with the exception of required in‑person training sessions.

Key Responsibilities- Ensures timely completion of clinical case reviews for your board-certified specialty.
- Makes physician‑to‑physician calls to gather appropriate medical information for medical necessity determinations.
- Determines medical necessity for grievance and appeals within your specialty.
- Ensures consistent use of medical policies when making medical necessity decisions.
- Brings to your supervisor any case review decisions that require Medical Director review or policy interpretation.
- MD or DO with board certification (American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association).
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or health profession.
- Board certification in Sleep Medicine preferred.
- 3–5 years of clinical practice experience post‑fellowship training.

Work ArrangementHybrid workforce strategy: associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week if not primarily virtual.
