This position will be filled a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer with a passion for developmental flight test for our Roadrunner platform. You will work heavily with the program leadership and a wide spectrum of cross-departments to help assist the team focused on solving hard problems and changing the industry forever. The role will be responsible for assisting on planning, coordination, execution and reporting on all facets of the flight test program.

The Test Engineering team works across the entire spectrum of products ranging from Lattice, Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, cUAS and our other platforms. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new aircraft development, sub-system testing and much more. In short, if it involves test we support it. WHAT

YOU’LL DO
  • As a Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineer, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, and reporting
  • Testing responsibilities encompass system-level evaluation of hardware and software, focusing on executing ground and flight tests, enhancing and developing processes, and engaging in technical test assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test data, identify system behaviors, and drive product enhancements, process improvements
  • Manage the use of test ranges and coordinate with external agencies to facilitate testing activities
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and 2+ years of flight test engineering experience
  • Ability to travel, as required, for planning and testing.
  • Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof
  • Must have a strong understanding of fundamental flight test processes and principles, with experience demonstrating their application.
  • Should be able to quickly grasp concepts quick and apply them, efficiently organize and schedule work phases, and have the ability to independently troubleshoot field-related problems at the task level, creating effective solutions.
  • Strong computer and documentation experience
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas
  • Able to work extended hours as required
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience as a test conductor, test director, or similar
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Familiarity with Linux system and programming languages such as Matlab, Python

US Salary Range: $86,000 - $114,000 USD
