Senior Engineer, Environmental

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Environmental Engineer to support our environmental initiatives in Orange County, CA.

The ideal candidate will have strong background in hazardous waste management, environmental engineering with a focus on air quality & chemical inventory management manufacturing and R&D settings. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental impact assessments, mitigation strategies and regulatory requirements are met.

• Ensure environmental compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including hazardous materials, waste management, water and air quality to meet industry standards
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Orange County Sanitation District (OC Sans), SMARTs, and CERs
• Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage
• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements
• Support the development and implementation of sustainability programs to reduce company’s carbon footprint, energy usage, waste and resource consumption
• Assist with Environmental incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures
• Serve as the key liaison with employees, management, customers, auditors, and regulators
• Conduct environmental inspections to identify and document and address environmental hazards

• 3+ years experience in overseeing hazardous waste management, environmental engineering or environmental compliance, ideally within the aerospace, manufacturing or R&D settings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with leadership, regulators, front‑line staff, and third‑party partners
• Experience with 40 CFR Parts 260-279 for Hazardous Waste Management
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
• Experience in environmental engineering safety with a strong focus in Hazardous Waste Management
• HAZWOPER 40‑hour, and RCRA/DOT certifications are a plus

US Salary Range: $86,000 — $114,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
