Aboutthe Role
As a Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading preconstruction design efforts and design meetings, working closely with project teams to ensure seamless coordination. You will play a key role in developing HVAC system designs, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. This position requires a strong communicator who can represent the company in design meetings and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Costa Mesa, CA (no remote or hybrid options at this time).
Key Responsibilities- Lead preconstruction design efforts and represent the company in design meetings.
- Develop detailed HVAC system designs from concept through production.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Utilize Revit to develop and refine mechanical system layouts.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, industry standards, and best practices.
- Oversee design quality and efficiency across all project deliverables.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC system design and production.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; EIT considered with intent to pursue PE.
- Background in mechanical engineering for commercial and industrial projects.
Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Revit is required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and related mechanical principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with industry codes and compliance regulations.
Salary: $135,000 – $150,000 annually (up to $150,000 for highly qualified candidates).
