Senior Technical Director, Environmental Engineering

Overview

Senior Technical Director, Environmental Engineering role with experience in consulting, selling, managing, designing and implementing Environmental Multi-media Remediation programs for clients in Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas and Transportation sectors.

Location:

California offices including Oakland, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Petaluma, San Jose, Fresno, Costa Mesa, and San Diego. The Oakland office provides services in environmental assessment and remediation, water/wastewater engineering, water resources, environmental compliance, geotechnical design, stormwater infrastructure design, materials testing, and decision analysis.

• Perform Business Development within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial Sectors for environmental remediation, engineering and related services
• Perform Customer Care Lead responsibilities for at least one Oil & Gas or Industrial/Commercial client
• Perform design, oversight, mentorship and direct the efforts of staff- and project-level engineers
• Assist preparation of technical reports and proposals
• Interact with Service Line Leader, Sector Lead, other Principal and Senior-level employees in the office and firm-wide
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring deliverables, schedules and budgets are achieved
• Travel to project sites as needed to execute project goals and business development
• Meet sales, revenue and delivery goals

• BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Geological or related Engineering field
• Consulting experience with petroleum contamination cleanups in soil and groundwater including free floating products (LNAPL) AND/OR must have chlorinated solvent contamination consulting experience for remediation of soil and groundwater
• 15+ years related environmental remediation and sales experience in California, with direct client account management experience
• California (Civil) Professional Engineer’s License
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Project and Program Management experience
• Experience with remediation/assessment projects involving the Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, DTSC and/or local CUPAs
• Ability to mentor and direct engineers and technicians
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board and other CalEPA Programs
• Consulting experience in soil gas and vapor intrusion issues
• Developing and managing complex engineering design and design-build projects
• Oversee remedy construction and operation and maintenance of environmental project work

• 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred
• Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired

Expected Salary (California): $220,000-$303,000.
