The Operations Accounting Lead supports the business by overseeing daily accounting activities, coordinating financial workflows, and ensuring accurate, timely data entry across operational units. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, and field leadership to support business performance, streamline processes, and deliver clear financial insights. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, exceptional accuracy, and experience in food service or retail environments.

• Oversee daily accounting tasks including reconciliations, data entry, invoice processing, and revenue/expense tracking.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all operational financial data.
• Serve as the first point of contact for field teams regarding accounting questions, corrections, and workflow issues.

• Prepare and validate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for Operations and Finance partners.
• Monitor trends, discrepancies, and variances and communicate findings with recommendations to management.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed.

• Partner with operators to ensure financial compliance, proper coding, and adherence to company policies.
• Assist in developing or improving procedures that enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting and accounting workflows.
• Lead small-scale operational projects and process improvement initiatives.

• Provide guidance, training, or oversight to team members performing data entry or transactional accounting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, HR, and Client Services.
• Assist managers and directors with preparing business reviews and client financial presentations.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to build reports, presentations, and communication tools.
• Navigate accounting systems, POS platforms, and operational reporting tools used in food service or retail environments.
• Support data audits, uploads, and accuracy checks.

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field). Equivalent experience of 5+ years in accounting, finance, or business operations will be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in food service or retail operations, accounting support, or financial coordination.
• Strong data entry background with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring others (formal management not required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to create client-facing presentations and clearly explain financial information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and partner with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with POS systems, accounting platforms, or operational reporting tools.
• Exposure to month-end close or financial review processes.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to support field leaders.
