The Stylist engages guests, consults on hair care needs, recommends products and services, and delivers quality professional services emphasizing the guest’s total look. The Stylist supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process focus to meet store goals.

• Perform hair services (design, cuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin, extensions, makeup, ear piercing where applicable).
• Meet or exceed an average weekly sales goal of $800 and productivity goals for hair services, contributing to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Demonstrate business acumen and identify growth opportunities.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services and communicate benefits to guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Demonstrate high standards of customer service and salon image.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑in guests, promptly and efficiently.
• Partner with skin therapists and retail team to provide a total‑store experience.
• Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships for collaborative service.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings for continuous professional development.

• Know and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Follow established service protocols for consistent guest experience.
• Use booking systems to schedule return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the EM and maintain guest readiness.
• Maintain store operational standards, cleanliness, and dress code.
• Follow loss prevention best practices to protect company assets.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license.

• Previous relevant salon experience preferred.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques (haircutting, color, lightening, styling, texture, treatments, extensions, makeup, ear piercing where applicable).
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals needed for technical work.
• Ability to recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching.
• Ability to stand long periods.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $17.00 per hour with the opportunity to earn services pay through the Company’s Services Compensation Plan. Pay may vary based on education, qualifications, experience, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime and tips. Full‑time associates are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part‑time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
