Assistant Director, IT Systems & Database

Orange County Department of Education is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to serve as Assistant Director, Information Technology Systems and Database. This position oversees enterprise systems and database services, leads technical staff, manages complex technology projects, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures the security, reliability, and performance of OCDE’s systems, databases, servers, storage, backup, and business continuity solutions. The Assistant Director also collaborates with departments, school districts, vendors, and other partners to translate operational needs into effective technology solutions that support OCDE’s strategic goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the areas of software, operating systems, systems hardware, data storage solutions, business intelligence solutions, relational databases, and security/data privacy, including two (2) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
