TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Production Control Manager. The Manufacturing Production Control Manager is responsible for leading TRD’s production scheduling, machine operations, and maintenance coordination to support both racing and commercial manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient use of TRD’s advanced machining and automation resources while driving operational excellence through data-driven decision making and team leadership.
- Lead the TRD Production Control organization responsible for managing production scheduling, CNC machine operations, and maintenance across TRD’s race and commercial manufacturing facilities.
- Oversee the daily operations of production control schedulers, CNC machine maintenance technicians, machine operators, and their respective supervisors to ensure optimal efficiency and alignment with TRD manufacturing goals.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules ensuring timely delivery of race and commercial engine components to meet program requirements.
- Manage TRD’s ERP system for all manufactured components, including routing accuracy, order and delivery date confirmation, and ongoing data maintenance to ensure system integrity and production traceability.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and planning departments to balance production priorities, resolve capacity constraints, and ensure alignment between material availability and machining schedules.
- Lead and oversee the daily and long-term scheduling for TRD’s manual work centers including Quality Control, Sub-Assembly, and Debur, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
- Monitor and manage TRD’s 17 high-speed 5-axis CNC machines and associated robotic automation systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency and machine uptime.
- Oversee OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics and implement continuous improvement actions to increase equipment utilization, throughput, and manufacturing performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules, reducing downtime and improving machine reliability.
- Lead the production control team in implementing process improvements, lean manufacturing initiatives, and efficiency projects across the operation.
- Ensure that safety, quality, and production goals are achieved daily through disciplined execution and adherence to TRD’s operational standards.
- Provide strong leadership and development to team members, including supervisors, by establishing clear expectations, coaching performance, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
