Assistant Merchandiser – Women’s Position Overview
As the Assistant Merchandiser – Women’s, you will support the development and execution of assortment strategies that drive the LSPACE brand forward. This role is highly analytical and collaborative, assisting in building customer-focused assortments that align with financial plans, sell-through goals, and brand standards.
You will partner closely with Merchandising, Design, Production, and Planning to ensure assortments are delivered on time, within cost targets, and aligned with margin objectives. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate data, supporting in-season analysis, and preparing materials that inform key merchandising decisions.
This role will work directly in support of the Director of Merchandising and Women’s Merchandising team, contributing to the success of all categories while helping protect the holistic identity of LSPACE. This role reports directly to the Director of Merchandising.
Responsibilities- Support seasonal and annual merchandising strategies for Women’s categories to align with sales, margin, and company objectives
- Assist in the development and maintenance of seasonal line plans, sku counts, and assortment frameworks
- Partner with Design and Product Development to support assortment execution, timelines, and category needs
- Maintain and update assortment tools, line sheets, and merchandising documents to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Support pricing analysis and execution in alignment with brand positioning and historical performance
- Track inseason performance, monitor sell through, and assist in identifying risks and chase opportunities
- Prepare recaps, reports, and analyses for management and cross functional partners
- Assist with presentation preparation for seasonal line reviews, management meetings, and wholesale presentations
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure key milestones and deliverables are met throughout the product lifecycle
- Maintain awareness of customer insights through store visits, feedback, and market research
- Monitor competitive landscape and trends to support assortment and category insights
- Support inventory health and productivity through coordination with Planning partners
- 24 years of merchandising or retail experience (Omni and/or Wholesale preferred)
- Strong interest in Women’s apparel; swimwear experience a plus
- Working knowledge of retail math, KPIs, and merchandising fundamentals
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and followthrough
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support decision making
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Proactive, self motivated, and eager to learn and grow within merchandising
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience in Power BI is a plus
