Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Classified Platform Engineer to serve as the technical lead for their classified software team. You will design and build platform services and user-facing applications enabling multi-level classified computing, including virtual desktop infrastructure, storage gateways, and access control administrative interfaces, working in fully air-gapped accredited environments.

What You'll Do

Act as technical lead for the classified software and platform team: own the architecture of the application portfolio, set engineering standards, and make tradeoff decisions
Design and build production web applications in React and Go operating fully air-gapped inside accredited classified environments
Develop and work with S3 storage APIs and policies, plus design relational and distributed data stores for authorization decisions and audit records
Own the Dev Sec Ops path to production: containerize and deploy to Kubernetes through Git Ops CI/CD pipelines that scan, sign, and produce accreditation evidence
Decompose multi-quarter programs into well-scoped work, grow engineers through design review and code review, and partner with Cybersecurity and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver on schedule

What You Need

Professional experience building and shipping production web applications with React or a comparable modern front-end framework and Type Script
Professional experience developing backend services in Go
Experience designing and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Cockroach DB, including schema design, migrations, and query performance
Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Podman or Docker, and Kubernetes), and with Git Ops and CI/CD pipelines in an Agile development process
Knowledge and experience with Linux Operating Systems such as RHEL, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu
Experience leading technical work: owning system architecture, reviewing designs and code of others, setting direction for a small team, and communicating clearly in design documents and decision records
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret Clearance with customer approval

Nice to Have

Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure or application and desktop brokering (e.g. Citrix, Omnissa/VMware Horizon, Leostream, Apache Guacamole, Kasm), and with virtualization orchestrated through Kubernetes such as Kube Virt
Experience implementing authorization systems (RBAC, ABAC, or relationship-based models), integrating applications against an external policy decision point, and Policy as Code tools such as OPA, Oso, Cedar, or Kyverno
Experience with S3-compatible object storage APIs, POSIX file system semantics, or FUSE
Experience building software for air-gapped or network-isolated environments, including dependency vendoring and offline builds
Experience with Dev Sec Ops supply-chain security practices including SBOM generation, artifact signing, and provenance attestation
Proficiency with core security concepts including encryption, authentication, identity and access management, and Zero-Trust Architecture, plus understanding of NIST SP 800-53 controls
Experience with observability tooling: structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
Experience as a tech lead or founding engineer on a product team, including establishing engineering practices from scratch and onboarding new engineers
