Job Overview
Under direct and minimum supervision of the head of the Division, Department, or Program, the non‑academic, non‑classified short‑term support employee will provide services to support and assist regular employees by performing a variety of needed temporary tasks.
Short‑term employees are at‑will, not part of classified service, and are not eligible for benefits. They may not exceed 160 working days per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) and 19 hours per week, and may hold only one primary assignment.
Retired CalPERS annuitants may work up to 960 hours per fiscal year.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance in tasks supporting full‑spectrum performing arts and auditorium productions and related events.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education and experience: Dependent on specific assignment, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent qualifications.
Licenses or other requirements: Valid California driver’s license and/or required license or certificate of completion from an accredited institution, as applicable.
Knowledge: Dependent on assignment.
Ability to: Dependent on assignment.
Conditions of Employment- Attendance is essential; failure to meet attendance requirements may result in termination.
- The position is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and must comply with district policies.

Short‑term assignments do not offer fringe benefits or pay for holidays or unworked time but provide sick leave per Labor Code 2810.5 (not to retired annuitants). Hours and effective date will be arranged with supervisor.
