Overview
Bus Driver role at Newport Mesa Unified School District. This vacancy has several openings for a regular bus driver, with a minimum of 25 hours per week on a split shift, Monday–Friday, 10 months per year. The recruitment may also be used to fill substitute assignments (temporary/as-needed).

Under the direction of the Director of Transportation, operate and maintain school buses to transport students safely and efficiently to assigned locations using designated routes; perform regular safety inspections; and prepare a variety of records and reports related to the assigned activities.
Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Six (6) months of experience as a school bus driver is preferred.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Valid Class A or B California Motor Vehicle Operator's License with passenger transportation endorsement, "S", and air brake endorsement. Must have a current DMV printout (less than 30 days old) to submit with the job application. California Special Driver Certificate valid for school buses. Current California Highway Patrol approved First Aid Certificate (if required on Special Driver Certificate).
