Pine Arbor Dental Care in Cottage Grove, MN is looking for a licensed Dental Assistant to join our team.
OverviewAs a Dental Assistant, you’ll work in an environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art technology and strong team support.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment
- Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to support quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations
- Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

- Salary: $30-36/hour
- Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 7:45 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Friday: as needed
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Access to minimum PHI for job-related functions; regular HIPAA training and data safeguards are required
- A Minnesota dental assisting license is required (or in process of obtaining)
- 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
- Dental assisting school certification
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically
- Tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, arranged during pre-employment; note: not applicable in FL & TN
