Track and Field Assistant Coach at East Ridge High School

Assignment Dates: 3/9/26 – 6/10/26

Compensation:
Contract is based on Teacher's Contract Schedule C – 28 base points or $3,976 base contract rate.

Qualifications

East Ridge High School is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified candidate to serve as Track and Field Assistant Coach.

  • Successful high school and/or collegiate level head coaching experience, and related successful experiences in educational leadership.
  • Experience building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the East Ridge mission and vision.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Raptors Track and Field program and the local community.
  • A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
Reports To

Head Varsity Track and Field coach and East Ridge High School Athletics/Activities Director, with overall job objectives and performance observation in conjunction with the High School Principal.

Job Goals

To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and confidence. Coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport as well as successfully establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
