Quality Engineer II
Andersen Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer II to support manufacturing line quality. The role focuses on quality improvement, customer satisfaction, project support, and ensuring product conformance to specifications and performance standards.
Primary Responsibilities- Make critical decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.
- Own the quality metrics of the responsible area.
- Apply PDCA, A3, DOE, 5‑Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, DMAIC.
- Coaching others in continuous improvement approaches.
- Apply quality management and lean manufacturing principles.
- Manage document control, product and process qualification, and audit processes.
- Implement error proofing, waste reduction, and visual management.
- Analyze data through statistical techniques.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards to develop manufacturing control plans and work instructions.
- Develop process validation plans and document results.
- Approve engineering change requests or PLMs.
- Lead cross‑functional team meetings, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
- Use Excel or Minitab to analyze data and detect trends and abnormalities.
- Provide quality assurance support to ensure products meet internal and external customer quality requirements.
- BS degree in Engineering or Technology.
- 3‑5 years experience in a manufacturing continuous process environment.
- Functional AutoCAD skills and geometric tolerancing.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems.
- ASQ CQE/CSSGB/CSSBB preferred.

In 2025 Andersen has set a profit‑sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
