Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Integration and Transformation (MIT) team is designing and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment across the Andersen Enterprise on medium to large scale projects.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes.
- Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements.
- Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability and process capability of new products or product extensions.
- Support and influence recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes.
- Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events.
- Demonstrate knowledge of DMAIC tools:
Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans. - Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines.
- Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements.
- Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
- Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
Qualifications
- 4‑year degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Minimum of one year of engineering experience preferred, with mechanical aptitude.
- Equipment procurement experience.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability.
- Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both internal and external customers.
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective in 1:1 and group settings.
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCAD/Inventor).
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
