Job Description

This quality engineering position is responsible for manufacturing line quality support. Areas of focus include quality improvement, customer satisfaction, project support, and ensuring product conformance to specification and performance standards. Collaborate with team members in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to persuasively sell continuous improvement ideas.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Possess ability to make critical decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
  • Own the quality metrics of the responsible area
  • Experience with PDCA, A3, DOE, 5‑Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, DMAIC
  • Expertise in both using and coaching others in approaches
  • Strong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principles
  • Document control, product and process qualification, and audit processes
  • Error Proofing, Eyes for Waste, Visual Management
  • Ability to gather and analyze data through statistical techniques
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans and work instructions
  • Develop process validation plans and document results
  • Approve engineering change requests or PLMs
  • Lead cross‑functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions
  • Use computer software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities
  • Provide quality assurance support to ensure that the products produced meet quality requirements defined by the company for both internal and external customers
Qualification And Skill Requirements
  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Engineering, Technology or Management or equivalent training and expertise
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in engineering
  • Background in quality engineering
  • Knowledge of quality programs and initiatives, SPC and process capability, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both written and verbal to all levels within the organization and externally to suppliers and customers
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency using tools like Excel, Minitab, Power BI

  • PROFIT SHARING:
    In 2025 Andersen has set a profit‑sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
