Contractor Coordinator
Collaborate with innovative teams around the world to coordinate contractor activities, ensuring compliance with 3M’s values, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Contractor Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by:
- Actively participating in corporate and site initiatives and ensuring contractors operate in accordance with 3M’s values and ethical standards across business, safety, environmental, and quality domains.
- Overseeing short‑term project work, ensuring business/project objectives and deadlines are met, and presenting recommendations to support business needs.
- Coordinating, planning, and scheduling maintenance activities with contractors and 3M production, engineering, and craft personnel, including planning/coordination meetings.
- Providing direct oversight to contractors during repair and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with 3M Safe Work requirements and cost efficiency.
- Supporting the review and processing of contractor time records, purchase orders, and administrative documentation, while monitoring financial impacts of project execution.
- Handling non‑routine and difficult inquiries independently, and consulting the supervisor only when necessary.
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start).
- Two (2) combined years of experience as a maintenance planner, team lead, or supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
Additional qualifications that may be beneficial:
- OSHA 30‑hour construction certificate.
- Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma or higher in a technical discipline.
- Five (5) years of experience in maintenance leadership/planning roles.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing plant equipment and wastewater treatment systems.
- Experience coordinating with contractors on work assignment and execution.
- Experience with skilled craft trades.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, SAMS).
- Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic. - Relocation Assistance:
May be authorized.
- Responsibilities may involve access to regulated information; compliance with U.S. Export Control laws and Department of Defense contracts is required.

Compensation range: $96,557 - $118,014.
