EHS Specialist

Overview

Successful candidate will be part of a team that provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to a client manufacturing facility. This position works directly with the Safety Team as well as onsite engineers and facility. The candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a strong analytical background. This position is full-time onsite.

• Work with client to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility environmental policies
• Leading/conducting respirator fit testing sessions
• Conducting LOTO assessments
• Confined space evaluations
• Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures
• Sampling events including area noise mapping, personal noise dosimetry, wipe sampling, air monitoring, etc
• Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sampling results management and supply ordering
• Additional responsibilities according to client needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
• Prior customer service experience with great interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and highly productive with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
• Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules
• Previous EHS experience is a plus
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
