Store Manager – Manager Trainee

Join Tractor Supply Company to develop as a Store Manager. Primary duties: delivering legendary customer experience, building a team, driving sales, managing inventory, controlling profit, reducing shrink.

• Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, discipline, retain efficient team members.
• Deliver legendary customer service through GURA: greet customers, uncover needs, recommend solutions, add value.
• Create welcoming environment fostering diversity, equity, inclusion.
• Schedule, organize, plan daily activities for efficient store operations.
• Lead team to provide legendary shopping experience.
• Communicate company processes, evaluate effectiveness, coordinate with District and Regional Manager.
• Teach sales and profit management; accountable for top‑line and bottom‑line.
• Promote safe and productive work environment; manage daily merchandise flow and inventory controls.
• Participate in special projects and community involvement.
• Support HR in team member relations and advancement.

• Minimum 18 years of age; valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred (agricultural science or business).
• Retail experience strong; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in farming, ranching, pet/equine, welding knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving for company business.

• POS and inventory system knowledge.
• Accurate reading, writing, and counting documentation.
• Operate equipment such as dolly, hand‑truck, forklift, computer, and cash register.
• Work varied hours; minimum 52 hours per week; stand and walk long periods up to four hours.
• Travel to other store locations and company functions.

• Normal office conditions.

• Standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, reaching overhead, driving a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds.
