Senior Accountant

What You’ll Do

In this role with our client, you’ll serve as a key partner to the Area Controller, ensuring financial accuracy, driving reporting excellence, and supporting operational teams. You’ll be the go-to resource for digging into the details, improving processes, and helping guide smarter business decisions.

• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Provide variance analysis and performance insights to leadership.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure accurate, GAAP‑compliant entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee journal entries and support process integrity.

• Assist with annual budget development and ongoing forecasting.
• Identify trends and provide recommendations to support planning.

• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Evaluate and streamline accounting workflows.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Background supporting blue‑collar, construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• CPA, CMA, or related certification.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
• Analytical problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator who can collaborate across departments.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and best‑practice accounting processes.
