• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting the dentist with procedures when necessary.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
• Upholding equipment standards/protecting and maintaining all dental tools in the practice
• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Maintaining all HIPAA and OSHA required trainings and compliance
• Upholding equipment standards/protecting and maintaining all dental tools in the practice

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is preferred
• Be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
• Possess great understanding of dental terminology
• Have excellent communication and written skills
• Have excellent public relations skills
• Work well with patients and team
• Be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
• Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
