Job Description

Adjunct HVAC/R instructor at Iowa Western Community College. Teach face‑to‑face HVAC classes, evaluate student performance, and report progress in accordance with college policies.

• Teach classroom lecture courses and curriculum development/restructuring.
• Assist in student success and classroom instruction.

• 6000 hours of HVAC work experience OR associate degree in HVAC with at least 3000 recent, relevant tested construction experience.
• Background check clearance, valid U.S. driver’s license, and good driving record.

• Frequently sit for extended periods and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and basic office equipment.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Lift up to 30 lbs.
• Drive company‑owned or personal vehicle.

• Reading, writing, and calculating.
• Social interaction skills.
• Reasoning/analysis.
• Work with minimal supervision.
