Shift: 1:30 PM-11:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $21.20 an hour + $.60 shift differential
The Trash Dock associate will perform a variety of duties including completing required paperwork, operating the controls on the compactors, making adjustments when necessary, baling, and operating the trash compactors and balers.
Essential Job Functions- Work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Excellent communication skills
- Be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Operate P.I.T.’s (Sit‑down Forklift & Pallet Jack)
- Work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
- Push or pull up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Push, pull, or tip 100+ lbs. repetitively
- Obtain all required paperwork for the shift
- Check compactors for anything out of the ordinary
- Dump and compact trash into the trash compactors
- Add cardboard into the cardboard baler and bale the cardboard for recycling
- Add plastic and/or bucket into the vertical baler and bale the plastic and/or bucket for recycling
- Pump liquids (fats, oils & grease) into the designated tank
- Monitor the compacting process
- Load the cardboard, barrels, pallets, plastic and/or bucket onto the designated trailer
- Clean compactors, totes, work area, etc.
- Ensure good housekeeping (interior and exterior) and 5S standards are met
- Complete all required paperwork and document critical data
- May perform general labor duties as assigned
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of GMP’s and food allergens
- Be PIT Certified
- Be LOTO Certified
- Knowledge of the 5S concept
- Work with animal and allergen products
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 months production or related experience preferred.
