ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Medical ICU | 13-Week Contract |
We are actively seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract in a Medical ICU setting. This is a high-paying travel opportunity with strong clinical exposure and EPIC charting.

Beds: 16
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1
Trauma Level: III
Charting System: EPIC
Scrubs:
Navy Blue
Common Diagnoses:
Sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, STEMI, A-fib RVR, PE, COVID, COPD exacerbations
(GI cases stabilized and transferred as needed)
Clinical Expectations
ICU experience with vents, drips, and BiPAP
Titration required
Common drips include vasopressors and sedation (Levo, Neo, Cardene, Precedex, Propofol, etc.)
Floating to PCU when ICU census is low
Staffing & Support
Charge nurse present every shift (takes assignment)
No nurse aides on unit
Hospitalist onsite 24/7
Intensivist onsite during days; telemedicine at night
RT shared with ER (RT manages vent adjustments)
Centralized telemetry monitoring (Draeger monitors)
Requirements
Active RN license (license required at submittal)
Minimum 2 years ICU experience (preferred)
Certifications
Required:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
(PALS & TNCC preferred)
Prior travel experience preferred
Driver’s license required at submittal
Must live outside 50-mile radius
Important Notes
-Prescreen + Auto Offer
Open-book skills exam during orientation (90% required to pass)
Orientation: 1 ICU shift + 1 PCU shift
Every 3rd weekend required
Holiday requirement:
July 4th
No artificial nails (strict policy)
RTO must be submitted upfront (no changes after submission)
Cannot have worked with Common Spirit / CHI / Dignity in the past year
