Cashier/Sales Associate – Morning/Daytime Shift

Village Pantry is hiring reliable, hard‑working team members ready to start between 5 AM and 7 AM. As a morning Sales Associate you will keep the store clean, stocked, and greet customers during our busiest hours.

$12.00/hour – $12.00/hour

• Greet customers with a smile and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
• Sell lottery, cigarettes, and alcohol while ensuring age verification and legal compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell to increase sales.
• Maintain clean and safe interior and exterior: deep‑clean restrooms, sanitize gas pumps, pick up litter, and take out trash in all weather.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and fully displayed.
• Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways for a tidy store environment.
• Cross‑train in other departments (e.g., deli) as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Show teamwork and help wherever needed.

• Age:
  Must be 18 years of age or older if located in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO. Otherwise 21 years of age.
• Availability:
  Must work weekends and holidays.
• Willingness:
  Comfortable standing most of shift, indoor & outdoor, all weather.
• Communication:
  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Math:
  Basic addition, subtraction, division, multiplication.
• Physical:
  Able to lift 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pre‑Employment:
  Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Personable & positive, with a friendly demeanor.
• Detail‑oriented, notices small details that improve customer experience.
• Reliable, punctual, trustworthy.
• Flexible, adaptable to tasks.
• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
