What You’ll Do
  • Develop work plans after identifying issues
  • Run diagnostic tests on diesel/gas engines and specialized equipment
  • Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, suspensions, exhausts, engines, and more
  • Perform oil changes, brake checks, wheel balancing, and preventive maintenance
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure performance
  • Maintain parts inventory and service records
  • Provide emergency roadside repairs when needed
  • Support traffic control and facility/grounds maintenance as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle electrical systems, and specialized equipment
  • Comfortable with diagnostic software, tools, and repair equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with solid communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Background
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Degree preferred or vocational/technical certification in diesel engine repair
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic
