Responsibilities
Assist with compilation, bookkeeping and preparation of tax engagements, including corporate and personal tax filings, and other tax slips (ie. T4s/T5s/T3s, etc)Prepare and maintain bookkeeping records and processes, including account reconciliations, financial record accuracy, and support for timely financial reporting and compliance.Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions Communicate with the government regarding information requests, assessments and installmentsWork collaboratively with the client engagement team Skills and Experience
Accounting certificate or bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is considered an asset)At least 2 years of relevant accounting experienceExperience preparing T4s and T5s and knowledge of personal and corporate tax is preferredWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes is considered an assetExperience working with accounting and tax software is considered an asset
