Staff Accountant / Public Practice Vancouver Island, BC - Hybrid
$55,000-$68,000/year
Our client is a long-established CPA firm serving the North Island for over 50 years. We're looking for a motivated accounting professional to join our team and work with a diverse group of long-standing clients.
What you'll do:- Prepare compilation engagements using Case Ware
- Prepare corporate, personal, and trust tax returns
- Handle bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and reconciliations
- Communicate with clients and manage deadlines
- 1-4 years of Canadian accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
- Compilation experience preferred
- Case Ware/Taxprep experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- CPA students and experienced accounting technicians are welcome
- 35-hour work week for most of the year
- 40-hour weeks during March and April
- Paid overtime or time off in lieu
