Certified Dental Assistant - Shoreline Orthodontics + BC *REL

Shoreline Orthodontics is looking for Certified Dental Assistants to join our team. With over 30 years of service on Vancouver Island, we build a supportive, kindness‑driven environment where our team cares about patients and each other.

• Compensation & Perks That Count: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and training. Newer CDAs typically start on the entry stage with lots of room to grow, while those with the Ortho Module can expect to land at the higher end. • Work‑Life Balance: Enjoy a 24‑32 hour workweek, 3‑4 days per week.

• Provide all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner.
• Perform sterilization procedures, set up operatories, and take x‑rays, photos, and intraoral scans.
• For those with the Ortho Module, assist with a wide range of procedures including direct bond bracket placement, archwire/appliance adjustments, and aligner appointments under doctor supervision.
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to keep treatment on schedule.
• Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
• Provide patient instruction and education, including reports to parents/guardians.
• Support additional duties as needed to ensure smooth practice operations.

• Certified Dental Assistant and licensed with BCCOHP.
• 1+ years’ experience as a Certified Dental Assistant.
• Ortho Module completion is an asset but not required.
• Brings energy, accountability, and professionalism to work every day.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive rapport with patients, parents, doctors, and colleagues.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, well‑organized environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with dental software systems is an asset.
