We seek a dedicated educator of Indigenous ancestry who will co-create an inclusive learning atmosphere for Indigenous youth. You will employ culturally responsive teaching approaches while integrating land-based experiences to support academic success. This role is essential in fostering community connections and empowering students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate Indigenous learners in grades 10-12
• Adapt curriculum to include Indigenous perspectives
• Foster experiential and holistic learning experiences
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with Indigenous Education staff for better outcomes
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of Indigenous teaching frameworks
• Recent experience in grades 10-12 education
• Ability to create trauma-informed curriculum
• Demonstrated skills in community engagement
• Team player focused on student well-being
