Position: Elementary Indigenous Support Worker Role
Support Indigenous students' success as an Elementary Indigenous Support Worker in School District 71. This role promotes cultural knowledge and responsive education practices.

Working 11.90 hours a week, the position pays $31.95 per hour, plus additional benefits. Eligible candidates should have high school completion, relevant post-secondary education, and extensive experience working with Indigenous communities. This role fosters academic growth by integrating cultural traditions and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance support and guidance for Indigenous students

• Collaborate with teachers and the community as an advocate

• Assist in the coordination of student support programs

• Promote culturally relevant events within schools

• Ensure accurate tracking of support resources and funding

Requirements:

• High school diploma and Indigenous studies coursework

• Minimum three years of experience with Indigenous students

• Requirement of Indigenous ancestry

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and personal vehicle

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
