Position: K-9 Learning Support Teacher at School District 71
Empower diverse learners as a Temporary K-9 Learning Support Teacher with School District 71. This part-time role focuses on assisting students with learning challenges and behavioral needs.
In this 0.40 FTE position, you will support students facing low incidence challenges and help classroom teachers facilitate inclusivity. You will actively partake in student assessments, craft Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.s), and implement tailored instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess students with learning disabilities

• Support classroom teachers in developing I.E.P.s

• Provide direct remedial instruction to students

• Collaborate to adapt instructional content and materials

• Assist in preparing modified curriculum and assessments
Requirements:

• Degree in Special Education or equivalent

• Experience in instructional support for diverse learners

• Ability to administer Level B assessments

• Knowledge of early literacy intervention practices

• Successful teaching experience in elementary K-9
