Position: Temporary K-9 Learning Support Teacher Role
Join School District 71 as a Temporary K-9 Learning Support Teacher. This position focuses on providing vital support to students with special needs and ensuring inclusive classroom environments.
As a 0.40 FTE teacher, you will assess students with learning challenges, assist in developing I.E.P.s, and work closely with classroom teachers to implement instructional adjustments.

Your role will be crucial in fostering positive relationships and empowering students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer assessments for students with special needs

• Facilitate classroom inclusion strategies with teachers

• Deliver targeted remedial instruction for learning challenges

• Prepare adapted curriculum and instructional strategies

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary educational team
Requirements:

• Post-degree diploma in Special Education

• Proficient in adapting curriculum and instructional content

• Experience with educational technologies for learning support

• Understanding of elementary curriculum K-9

• Strong ability to collaborate with educators and professionals
