Indigenous Focused Early Primary Educator

Become a key player at School District 71 as a 1.0 FTE Indigenous Early Primary Teacher, transforming education through inclusive practices and Indigenous wisdom. Engage with diverse learners and cultivate meaningful relations.

This role recognizes the essential blend of Indigenous approaches with contemporary educational practices. You will be responsible for targeted literacy instruction and embedding a collaborative spirit within the classroom. Implementing land-based learning and responsible classroom management will provide an enriching learning experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft lessons incorporating Indigenous knowledge in learning

• Establish impactful relationships within the community

• Customize literacy instruction using an RTI framework

• Exercise effective classroom management techniques

• Encourage land-based and experiential learning
